Abstract: The Educators in Focus series features more than 50 instructional videos made by Ontario educators for Ontario educators as a way to inform their professional development, discover new strategies and implement innovative pedagogical practices. In this video, Ontario educator Ammar Aquil encourages teachers to integrate cross-curricular coding lessons. He explains how it promotes creative thinking while supporting students’ digital literacy skills. Coding also encourages independent and small group learning by way of rich discussions and problem solving opportunities.
